HOW YOUR CV SHOULD BE?

Your CV represents you. Its an oppurtunity which you get to tell about yourself. So it becomes extremely important that you convey what you want to!
Your CV represents you. It should bring out your capabilities, strengths, learnings, attitude etc. At the same time, no one is interested in spending time going through a long resume. So keep it small. Mr Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO’s CV is 1 page (rather, 1 side)
CV doesn’t have to contain your personal information like DOB, Parents name etc, neither all the certificates that you won in school & colleges.
Say you go to a store or visit an e-commerce website to buy a laptop, and the store representative or the webpage gives you varieties of the desktop to choose from. How does that sound?? Remember you need to bring only that information which is relevant for a job opportunity.
Key Points to Remember
– CV should be just 1 page
– Entire content should be using just 1 font style
– Only Name, Mobile number & Email Id. required
– Declaration and reference not required. Passport & Aadhaar details not required, Address not required, any other personal information not required
– Your profile should preferably in the below order
a) Companies worked along with role description in the order of most recent to the older ones
b) Internships along with a brief description in the order of most recent to the older ones
c) Industry knowledge gained during work experience
(If no work experience doesn’t matter, start with educational qualification-Highest till graduation. Schooling detail not required)
d) Awards Won during employment
e) Educational Qualifications and Institution name
f) Specific skill sets like Excel, SQL, Tableau etc or any certification course completed then brief description about the same
– A professional photo stamp size at the right-hand top corner is good to have but not must
The CV should contain only true information. Do not play around and boost your profile by providing information that is false or also information which you are not able to talk about. Remember the person interviewing you has interviewed many candidates and he was also a job applicant once!
